Simulate
Simulate projects how a position might perform before you commit capital. It works for both liquidity pools and lending markets, so you can compare outcomes under different assumptions.
Simulate a pool
- Open Simulate from the sidebar and choose Pools.
- Pick a pool, or arrive from Discover with one already selected.
- Set your inputs, such as the amount, the price range for a concentrated liquidity position, and the time horizon.
- Review the projected fees and returns.
What you can model
- Price range and liquidity distribution. See how your liquidity sits across the range and how concentration affects fees. Zoom and asset composition views give a closer look.
- Future price and time. Project performance across a future price and a number of days to see how the position behaves as the market moves. The Simulate Performance panel breaks this down into profit and loss, cost basis, and opportunity cost at any simulated price.
- Versus holding. Compare the position against simply holding the underlying assets, so you can judge whether providing liquidity is worth it.
Advanced simulation controls, the future price and days projections, and the comparison against holding are Pro features. The composition tab is an Elite feature. See Plans and access.
Simulate a lending market
- Open Simulate and choose Lending.
- Select a market.
- Adjust the inputs, including the calculation timeframe and a price scenario for the assets involved.
- Review the projected outcome.
The price simulator, token details, and calculation timeframe are Pro features.
Why simulate first
Liquidity pools earn fees but carry impermanent loss, and lending returns shift with rates and prices. Simulating first turns those unknowns into a concrete projection, so you size and place positions with intent. See the Glossary for the concepts behind these numbers.
